When it comes to the summer time, I usually try to keep my makeup minimal, yet glowy & bright to show off my tan 🙂 There really is nothing worse than wearing a ton of makeup in the summer. When I sit down to start doing my makeup a typical light look turns into a full face glam really quickly if I don’t limit myself. These are the products I stick to create my perfect summer fresh face.

CLOUD PAINT “dusk”

This blush is sooo nice and light for the summer. It adds the perfect summery peach flush to my face which keeps my look natural & fresh.

MAC MINERALIZE SKIN FINISH “soft & gentle” // MARY-LOU MANIZER

Highlight is one of the products I always end up going IN on. I really just can’t help myself. Adding some MAC Fix Plus to my brush helps make the highlight pop on my cheekbones & last all day.

LAURA MERCIER OIL FREE TINTED MOISTURIZER // IT COSMETICS CC CREAM

Sometimes I just opt for concealer to coverup my dark circles & blemishes but when I’m looking for more coverage I typically grab one of these products. The Laura Mercier is a lighter formula and still makes your skin look like skin. It lets your freckles peek through which I love especially for summer. As for the IT Cosmetics CC Cream, this products gives me a little more coverage when I am breaking out.

ANASTASIA BROW WIZ // NYX BROW GEL

Brows are one step in the process I can NEVER skip. Since my hair is so dark and in the summer I build up a nice tan, I look a little strange without full beautiful eyebrows. Filling in my eyebrows makes me look 100x more put together and really transforms how I look. I love a good a brow without looking like you just tattooed them on. I’m a huge drugstore gal but the Anastasia Brow Wiz is by far the best brow products I have ever used. It makes my brows look natural and real, not filled in. As for brow gel, the NYX one works just fine:)

TARTE SHAPE TAPE CONCEALER // MAYBELLINE FIT ME CONCEALER

Since the Tarte concealer is super full coverage I usually just put it under the inner corner of my eye and cover the rest of my under eye/ other blemishes with the Maybelline Fit Me. Whether I am doing a natural or full face look, this is the perfect concealer combo!! It brightens while not making you have crazy white under eyes.

TOO FACED CHOCOLATE SOLEIL BRONZER

This bronzer is one of my favorite products that I have been using for years. It works for me and I haven’t really needed to ever try anything different. I love the natural color it gives me to amp up my tan skin just a little bit.

GLOSSIER LID STAR “cub” // MAC EYE SHADOWS “paradisco” & “rule” // MAC PAINT POT “painterly

Depending on the day, I will either just do no eyeshadow with mascara or add a little bit of color with these products. If I am planning on using eyeshadow, I go for an orange/rose gold look. I always use my MAC Paint Pot to even out my lid color, then pop rule in my crease. My favorite trick is to mix rule with my bronzer to tie in the whole look and make it more natural. To add a little shimmer, I apply a liquid eyeshadow from Glossier and set it with Paradisco from MAC.

MARC JACOBS MASCARA // BENEFIT MASCARA

I have recently been trying out samples of both of these mascaras and I have been LOVING them! The Marc Jacobs mascara makes my eyelashes look like I have extensions and thicken them up. The Benefit mascara makes my lashes long and bold which compliments the Marc Jacobs mascara.

MAC PREP & PRIME FIX+ // MORPHE SETTING SPRAY

Setting your makeup is a MAJOR key to summer makeup. If you don’t set your makeup you are just asking the sun to melt it right off your face! Right now I have been using the Mac Fix Plus but I am eager to try the Morphe setting spray as I have heard it is nearly the same product for a much cheaper cost. My only beef I have with the MAC Fix Plus is that the nozzle feels like a super soaker & I feel as though I waste a lot of the product. The Morphe spray has a much finer mist to evenly set your entire face.

That is all for my summer look! If I stick to it, I usually can do my makeup in about 15 minutes (short for me lol). This look lasts all day long and helps me achieve the fresh & glowy look I often go for all summer long 🙂 For a blast to the past, check out my summer makeup routine from last year here.

XOXO,

Kristina
